Will Adele Announce Her New Album During Her SNL Appearence?

Tonight, Adele fans will be elated to see the British performer on Saturday Night Live from NBC. According to a report from Today, there are some people on social media who are hoping she’ll announce an album drop after a long hiatus away from the music industry.

Today claims the “Hello” singer-songwriter will host the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, which marks fourteen years since she first appeared on the program as a musical guest. Adele has been on SNL a number of times, including in 2008 and again in 2012.

On her Instagram, the songstress – who recently lost an estimated 70 pounds – claimed she always wanted to do a “stand-alone moment” on Saturday Night Live that way she could really throw herself into the job. However, Adele says the timing “has never been right.”

Reportedly, Adele will host the episode with the musical guest, HER, and SNL‘s cast members include Pete Davidson, Kenan Thompson, Kate McKinnon, and more.

As for her new music, Today claims Adele probably won’t be performing any new songs on the program. The UK native’s last record, 25, came out in 2015, and it received massive critical praise. It later went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Album in 2017.

In addition to her massive success in the music industry, Adele has made huge changes to her lifestyle over the last five years, including her split from Simon Konecki. The couple broke up after having a child together, and she has since been dating Skepta, a British rapper.

And, as it was noted above, Adele was in the headlines again after she posted a full body shot in which she showed off an incredible body transformation, so much to the point that she managed to look almost completely unrecognizable.

While many of her fans were proud of her, some social media users claimed it wasn’t the Adele they knew, and argued that she must’ve caved to the “insane” beauty standards of modern society, which supposedly have been fostered, in part, by social media.
