Susan Sarandon Admits She Doesnt Take Debra Messing Feud Seriously
Susan Sarandon has admitted she doesn’t take her feud with Debra Messing seriously.
The Bad Moms: Christmas star sounded off the on the ongoing battle of words with Messing at The Sound Inside at New York City’s Studio 54 on Thursday night.
“There are a lot of people who find it really funny. I don’t take it very seriously. Sometimes it will be very quiet for a while, and then all of a sudden, I’ll be wondering, ‘Gosh, I wonder what led to that?'” Sarandon shared with Us Weekly at the event.
When asked if she would be open to a sit down with the Will & Grace star, Sarandon was quick to shut it down. She even pulled a Mariah Carey with her response.

“I don’t know what I would gain from that, don’t really know her,” shared the 73-year-old actress.
Fans may recall Mariah Carey gave the same “I don’t know her” response during an interview on German TV when asked about Jennifer Lopez. The two musical ladies are rumored to have had a long-standing feud going all the back to the early 2000’s.
Sarandon and Messing have had several exchanges over Twitter recently due to their political standpoints. The only thing the two women can agree on when it comes to politics is that they both do not like President Donald Trump.
They initially clashed during the 2016 election. Sarandon, an avid supporter of Bernie Sanders was misunderstood when talking about Hillary Clinton’s ability to be president. Messing backed Clinton and the first Twitter war between the two Hollywood stars erupted.
In September, Messing retweeted where Sarandon allegedly credited Donald Trump with inspiring women and people of color to run for office.
“STFU SUSAN. Oh yes, PLEASE let’s give Trump CREDIT. I mean how else are you able to walk out on the street,” wrote The Mysteries of Laura actress.
“Debs, before you get yourself all self-righteous try clicking on the video and listening to what I actually say,” the Thelma & Louise star replied declaring the headline of the publication clickbait.
Their latest war of words is only a small part of why Susan Sarandon and Debra Messing have a long-standing feud.
Sarandon has admitted she doesn’t take it seriously. Messing revealed that she would rather be stuck in an elevator with Trump than Sarandon on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
